GENERAL
Warnings
When not in use, store the ORUS-L series in the storage case and replace the desiccant packet as necessary to prevent fogging on the lenses due to excessive ambient humidity. If the lenses fog up, the water vapor will usually dissipate after powering on the device for a while. It is recommended to store the product in an environment with relative humidity below 40% and a temperature of 20 ± 5°C.
DO NOT expose the infrared camera lens to strong energy sources such as the sun, lava, or laser beams. The temperature of the observed subjects should not exceed 800°C (1472°F) (or 1600°C (2912°F) with an infrared density filter installed). Otherwise, the infrared sensor will burn out and suffer irreversible damage.
DO NOT place the product under direct sunlight, in areas with poor ventilation, or near a heat source such as a heater.
DO NOT repeatedly power the product on or off. After powering off, wait at least 30 seconds before powering it back on. Otherwise, the product life will be affected.
Under controlled laboratory conditions, the product achieves an IP55 protection rating in accordance with IEC60529 standards. The protection rating is not permanent and may degrade over time.
Make sure there is no liquid on the surface or in the port of the gimbal before installation.
DO NOT touch the surface of the lenses with your hands. Be careful to avoid scratching the lenses with sharp objects. Otherwise, image quality may be affected.
Clean the camera lenses with a soft, dry, clean cloth. DO NOT use alkaline detergents.
DO NOT drop the product and handle it with care. Otherwise, it may not function properly.
The image quality of the infrared thermal camera may be affected when an infrared density filter is installed.
Product Profile
Orus-L is a specialized payload developed by Gremsy, designed with a spherical aerodynamic shape and rated IP55 for water and dust resistance. Built to endure harsh environments, including dust, humidity, and light rain, Orus-L remains stable even at speeds up to 100 km/h. It's an ideal choice for high-speed UAVs and demanding missions.

Storage Conditions
Recommended Storage Environmental Conditions
When not in use, GREMSY payloads shall be stored under the following conditions:
Ambient Temperature: 18–25°C
Relative Humidity: 30 – 45 %RH
These conditions are recommended to ensure long-term reliability of electronic components, gimbal motors, camera sensors, and mechanical assemblies.
Recommendation: Use a dry cabinet to keep temperature and humidity stable and well-controlled.
Storage Requirements Based on Non-Operating Duration
≤ 12 hours
Should be stored under the recommended storage conditions.
> 12 hours
Must be stored under the recommended storage conditions.
Long-term storage / standby
Always store under the recommended storage conditions.
Warning: If the device is not maintained under the recommended storage conditions
12-72 hours: condensation on the sensor lens may occur.
72 hours: there is a high risk of moisture-related damage.
Important Notes
In high-humidity environments (80–90% RH), dry cabinet storage may be required sooner than the time frames listed above.
Failure to follow these storage conditions may result in:
PCB oxidation and corrosion
Reduced gimbal motor lifespan
Electrical connector and camera sensor malfunction
