Regarding the Pixy S and the T3V3, here are some differences the Pixy S has that will improve:

* \~500g lighter improves flight time by about 25% (based on actual test)
* New IMU generation and design to improve the stability performance.
* New designed camera cage, with removable and smart lock design that allows to mount the camera within seconds
* Improve the new I/O design on T3V3 with USB-C ports supports directly Sony A7R IV/V camera control and SDK.
* Separate Hot Shoe signal and cable improves accuracy when performing mapping missions.

### **Q 2:** What's the difference between Pixy S and Pixy U?

Regarding the Pixy S and the Pixy U, here are some differences the Pixy S has that will improve:

* Stronger motor and stiffer structure than Pixy U and other Pixy series allow to carry the heavy Sony A7R IV/V and lense.&#x20;
* HDMI Hyper Quick Release v2.0 to be integrated heavy camera and I/O to support Sony camera.

### **Q 3:** What's the difference between Pixy SM and Pixy S?

* New designed camera cage, with removable and smart lock design that allows to mount the camera within seconds
* The Pixy SM and Pixy S are designed to mount the Sony A7R IV/V camera for industrial and mapping applications. However, they have some differences as follows
  * Supported platforms: while Pixy SM only supports DJI M300, Pixy S is more versatile when it comes to supporting non-DJI multi-platforms such as Pixhawk, Cube, Skynode...e.t.c.
  * Power and performance, to meet rigorous standards and compatible with many types of platforms. The motor of the Pixy S is improved with more power.
  * IMU: Pixy S uses a separate IMU module to allow higher stability.
  * Quick Release: Pixy S comes with HDMI HQR v2.0 and is compatible with HDMI HQR on T3V3, S1V3, T7 (refer to instructions here)
* Improve the new I/O design on T3V3 with USB-C ports supports directly Sony A7R IV/V camera control and SDK.

### **Q 4:** How much weight can the Pixy S hold?

* Separate Hot Shoe signal and cable improves accuracy when performing mapping missions
* The maximum payload of the Pixy S is 950g equivalent to the Sony A7R IV/V and 55mm lens.

### **Q 5: What's the camera is compatible with Pixy S.**&#x20;

* The Pixy S mainly support for the Sony A7R IV/V and 5 lenses:
  * SEL28F20

  * SEL50F25G

### **Q 6: Does Pixy S support other cameras?**

* Pixy S mainly support for the Sony A7R IV/V and may not compatible for other cameras due to the size and connection

### **Q 7: Does Pixy S support output power for camera?**

* No, it's not.

### Q 8: Does the Pixy S supported Inveted mode (up side down)

* No, it's not.

### Q 9: Does the Pixy S supported to control the Sony A7R IV/V itselft?

* No, it's not.&#x20;

The Pixy S doesn't support controlling the Sony A7R IV itself.&#x20;

But it does support the USB-C passthrough gimbal to connect the camera to the flight controller, embedded computer, or camera control module. Refer to the Camera Connection Guidance in the following article.

### Q 10: Is it possible to use the Pixy S with the T3V3/S1V3/T7 HDMI Hyper Quick Release

* Yes, it's possible. But the I/O between HDMI HQR and Pixy HDMI HQR v2.0 is different and you need to customize the AUX cable to get right output signal.&#x20;

### Q 11: Is it possible to use the Pixy S with the Pixy Quick Release

* No, it's not.

### Q 12: Is it possible to use the Pixy S with the DJI M300?

* No, it's not.

### Q 13: Is it possible to use the Pixy S with the Sony Airpeak?

* No, it's not.

### Q 14: Is the Pixy S waterproof?

* No. The system, motors, and other electronic equipment are not waterproof.
