Quick Release Installation & Maintenance Guide

The S-Port Quick Release (QR) system is designed for fast and secure payload installation while maintaining reliable power and signal connections. To ensure safe operation and long-term reliability, proper installation, inspection, and maintenance should be performed regularly.

Common causes of locking, connection, or hardware issues include:

  • Locking screws becoming loose over time due to long-term use and vibration

  • Connecting or disconnecting the payload while the system is powered on (hot swapping)

  • Incorrect power polarity or power source connection

  • Improper payload orientation or installation alignment

  • Incorrect locking tension adjustment (under-tightened, incomplete lock, or over-tightened)

  • Dust, dirt, or debris inside the locking mechanism

  • Failure to apply Loctite 222 threadlocker as recommended

  • Lack of periodic inspection and maintenance

This guide and the accompanying instructional video provide step-by-step instructions for proper installation, locking tension adjustment, and routine maintenance to help prevent common issues and ensure safe, reliable operation of the S-Port Quick Release system.
